This Old Barn in Dayton offers a raw, authentic barn experience for couples who love a rustic, DIY-friendly aesthetic. As a Maine wedding photographer, I find the weathered textures of the barn to be a beautiful canvas for candid storytelling. I also love the ceremony space under the trees. The event staff here is VERY knowledgable, I recommend trusting them to help you plan the setup, they've been great about placement so the lighting can be perfect. Also, their bridal cottage is super sweet and well appointed.
My Thoughts
It’s a very "real" Maine space—unpretentious, warm, and full of character. It allows couples to truly make the space their own. I really like the elevated DJ pit, it keeps things really clean on the dance floor. The fire pit is also a nice touch in addition to the lovely grounds they have. Yard games work really well with this space!
Favorite Photo Spot
The tall hayfields behind the barn. During the "golden hour," the light hits the grass perfectly for those soft, romantic wandering shots. There's also a lot of potential with their stone patio!

Check out Gonneville Farm also in Dayton! This is a great spot for local homestyle cooking. Get the burger, you won't regret it! If you go, say hi to the goats out back for me!
