I absolutely love the "Old World" atmosphere of this venue. It’s rare to find a place that feels so established and stately while still offering such a warm, intimate experience for guests. The outdoor gazebo ceremony site is one of my favorites in the state because the mountain backdrop is so prominent. Whether you're in the ballroom or out on the terrace, the scenery does a lot of the heavy lifting for your wedding aesthetic.

The stone terrace overlook is the "hero" shot at The Lucerne Inn. Positioning a couple against that wide-angle view of the mountains and the lake creates a sense of scale that is breathtaking. However, I also love the hidden garden paths and the historic architecture of the Inn's exterior for more intimate, classic portraits that highlight the venue's 19th-century charm.

If you are heading to Holden to tour the venue, make sure to stop by Mason’s Brewing Company in nearby Brewer. It’s just a short drive away and offers fantastic craft beer and elevated pub food right on the Penobscot River.
