Cliff House, Maine
Wedding Photography Guide
Perched atop the rugged Bald Head Cliff in Cape Neddick, Cliff House Maine is arguably the most iconic oceanfront venue in the state. As a Maine wedding photographer, I am constantly inspired by the way the Atlantic waves crash against the rocks, providing a cinematic backdrop for every celebration. The resort seamlessly blends modern luxury with the raw, natural beauty of the Maine coast, offering everything from the expansive Atlantic Ballroom to intimate terrace spaces for your "I Do's."
My Thoughts
I absolutely love the versatility of Cliff House. Whether the coast is bathed in bright summer sun or shrouded in a moody, romantic fog, the light here is always incredible. The staff is top-tier, ensuring that every detail—from the floral arrangements to the cocktail hour on the patio—is executed perfectly. It’s a venue that feels both grand and deeply personal, making it a dream location for any couple.
Favorite Photo Spot
My absolute favorite spot for couples' portraits is the steep steps leading down toward the water’s edge on the cliffs. Positioning a couple against the Bald Head Cliff with the ocean spray in the background creates a powerful, timeless image. I also love sneaking away during the reception for a few frames in the Atlantic Ballroom when the "cotton candy" sunset skies reflect off the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Nearby Food
If you’re visiting the venue to scout it out, you have to stop at Nubb’s Lobster Shack right on the property. Their lobster rolls are a Maine classic, and sitting outside with the salt air is the perfect way to soak in the Cape Neddick vibe.
